Well, the work is great! It seems like it rains every monday! and i love it! The rain is fantastic... but the sun comes out and it turns into a steam room. Not so fun! so we like the rain to stay! It keeps it cool.
We got some new bikes for some sisters, and we got to try them out last week which was so fun!
Yesterday we had a miraculous fast sunday! I love fast sundays as a missionary! They have really turned out to be the most amazing days! Yesterday as we fasted we had a three families come to church that had said they weren't coming! We have been praying for them and actually dropped on a while ago. They had stopped answering our phone calls, or the door whenever anyone went over. So the day started with miracles during comp study when this family we had dropped called and said they needed to come and asked if we could get them a ride. She has never been to church since she was baptized and it was amazing to get to meet her, because I had only heard about her until yesterday. Next when we got to church our dear friend that was baptized last week was confirmed and it was nothing short of a miracle! Then our friend we taught that was drunk a couple of weeks ago came and he was very sober and really enjoyed the testimony meeting. Then! (remember the family that has been struggling to get ready to be baptized. The mom and the two twins and her ex husband rents out the down stairs and she lives with the twins and her finace upstairs...) Well durning our lesson on saturday their dad yelled up the stairs that none of them could go to church because he was taking them to the lake. It was really upsetting, because the twins didn't have a choice and the mom was to nervous to come to church by herself. so they told us their weren't coming.... but we turned around and there they were... AND! they brought their neighbor friend we had been teaching who we had to stop seeing a few weeks ago! So another miracle! And the friend has an assignment in primary next week so she is so excited to come back next week! That primary teacher was really in tune to extend that to her! Amazing! We ended up teaching Gospel Principles which was really good, we had the temple president and his wife, and my mission president's wife and a few others share about the temple and family history. It was amazing because the room has never been so packed with investigators before! It was such a blessing to see all these things unfold!
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!!!!! I hope you are able to follow all this babbling... but I can't express how amazing this day was!
We had a sister who is less active and worried about gas money come, and she has been coming every week and she was telling me how she is truly seeing the blessings! It's amazing to be able to promise something to someone, because the Lord wants to bless them. Through the spirit I told her a couple weeks ago that if she came every sunday, the things she is really struggling with would be handled, and she was so skeptical. Here she is weeks later and already seeing results! The Lord is so merciful to those who obey!
So that was just church! That was the first part of the day. Then we went out to contact some people we had met but hadn't been able to get back in with yet. We went to this complex called the Villas and we went at it! Every single person we talked to invited us back to share more with them! It was something like 12 people! That is amazing! THe Lord put them in our path so we could talk to them at the exact time we did with each person. If we hadn't been exact with the timing we wouldn't have talked to all the people we did! For instance, we talked to one lady just as she drove up, and she was so very uninterested! She was trying to get her groceries and didn't want anythign to do with us. So we offered to help and we kept chatting with her. The second we walked through her front door she said tuesday was a great day for us to come back and talk to her about our message and she was actually excited. The Lord opened her heart right before our eyes! It was amazing! Just seconds passed between one to the other. The second we walked out her door there was a man coming out of his door, so we talked to him. He was Muslim... which usually when they pull that card it's a "back off", so we waited it out and said we could come back and tell him more. COOOL!!! By that time it was time to get to dinner... So we were headed to one last door, and they too were able to allow up to come back. As we just felt so full of joy and the love that the Lord has for all these people we figured we needed to talk to one more person! We saw this guy getting out of his car and went over and started explaining who we were and what we had for him. This woman came out from behind the car and said the had just spent all morning looking for our church. The had pulled out their GPS, went through the list of churches, and saw "the Church of Jesus Christ" and she said they knew that had to be where they needed to be. So they drove around and ended up in the middle of an apartment complex, so they quit trying. She said that this was just what she needed right now! She needed a good church again. So S. Scott offered her a Book of Mormon and she freaked!!!! She was going off about how crazy them Mormons are and how she would have nothing to do with them and started naming off all kinds of misunderstandings about the church and Joseph Smith. S. Scott asked if she could explain to her what she was saying. We then stood there and taught her the first lesson on the restoration and half an hour later she wanted a Book of Mormon so bad we couldn't help but help her with that desire ha ha ha... she was so excited to hear that our church wasn't created in 2012 like she thought and that it had been around for a long time. She had never heard about it until this year and she had only heard terrible things about it. We got so much cleared up she was wondering when we could come share more. But she doesn't live in our area so we explained that we would send someone to see her. She said, "But what if I want you to teach me? I like you!" She was so amazing! I really hope we get to see her again! Then we ran off to dinner and got to share with a sweet non-member family that was also eating with us! They were so awesome! The atmosphere was very spiritual and we all were able to share experiences in which the Lord was very much in our lives. S. Scott was able to share our experience with the last woman we had just met, and how the Lord touches hearts, not only in preparation for them but also you... everything just fits together like a puzzle piece. Time, experience. It all fits together for something bigger! Bigger than we can even comprehend!
Well! I must get to running! I love you all so much and I know this work is the most important thing I can be doing right now! Thank you for your prayers and your love! Keep it up!! I love your guts!

Well this week has been very eventful! I have been pretty sick, some kind of weird cold but I'm feeling much better now. it made for an interesting week. I had to sleep in twice which is a big deal! That means I didn't get to have personal study, so teaching on those days were especially difficult. But such a learning experience!
We met this amazing family I think I told you about. The husband is a less active member and so one day as we were searching out less actives we felt we should go see him. Before we even got to his house we saw a lady out in her yard and we felt to ask her where this family lived. She said they moved but directed us down the street to their new house. After we knocked on a wrong door we found ourselves on their door step.
But we have been teaching this guys ex wife and his twin 9 yr old daughters. They are very excited and I can just see how hungry they are for the truth. The ex wife owns the house, he rents out the bottom of the house, the kids live there, and her fiance I guess is there in the mix too. But they are doing great. We went and taught them the first lesson and they just loved it! Who couldn't love learning that Jesus Christ's church is on the earth again!!!! It's amazing! What a blessing to get to teach them.
We have a baptism planned for next week which we are really excited about. We have been working with her since I got here. They had been working with her 2 or 3 weeks before that as well. So we are getting all geared up for that one. She too is amazing and I love her so much. What a testimony she has!
We are continuing to work with a lot of really sweet less actives and I'm loving those learning experiences. They have such difficult questions because they know the gospel, so we have to have the spirit with us to be able to answer them!!!! It's hard, but it's a work and progress on my end :D
Well it's been a busy busy week and we are short on time today so I must run off to do crafts with Sister Sanders! I love you all and I miss you! and hope you have a wonderful day!!!!
love ya!

Next sunday I get to skype you!!!!!!
So this week has been crazy! Last monday we went over to a thrift store that on thursdays everything is 1.75 and then in goes down a quarter a day. so we went monday and got me 5 blazers for 75 cents each! It was great! But there was no air in there so once you opened and shut the door you had better run before you sweat your face off and run out of air. ha ha ha! The trees are beautiful and it's not to muggy yet!
The other morning we got up and I thought I heard water but I didn't realize it was raining until I walked into it. it was like walking into a wall of water. No wonder I didn't see it. It was solid sheets of water! I was soaked in a few minutes to the point of no return :D
The baptism was wonderful yesterday! I got to sing I feel my Saviors Love... I think... we ran though it once at light speed so I was basically sight reading the music, but I really felt the spirit, so I think I was good! Our newly baptized member called us laughing yesterday because she thought she left her glasses in the bathroom at the church but was so happy she couldn't stop laughing about it. it was so cool, and super cute!
It has been quite interesting this week. I have really tried to run before I can walk so I get mad and don't know what to do with myself. So I kinda have to start over and remember to let the spirit teach through me. I wish I could have had one more week in the mtc. It went by to fast and I still haven't had the chance to digest anything. This week it really hit me that I am actually on my mission... i'm here... so I need to be excited and get to work, even though I feel like I'm walking under water... figurativly and physically!
Thank you so much for the recipie! I don't ever know what to cook. My trainer is lactoseintolerant and doesnt eat meat, or eggs... or anything. She hates tomatos. She asked me to cook for her the other day and I really didn't know what to do. I made some toast... she doens't like to eat bread. ha ha ha! We are quite the pair. We are learning a lot about each other and I'm really trying to figure this thing out. It's really hard, but it will be for my own good. And my family to come as well. It will come, with Faith. It will come. I'm so happy I get to talk about the gospel everyday I just really need to learn how to approach people. Most the time I just freak them out! ha ha ha!
Thank you so much for all your love and support! I miss you all! I love you! and I love getting your mail! It keeps me going!
Love you with all my heart!

I made it! I’m here and I am loving it! The first day was like 3 in one! Yikes! I crawled
in bed so tired and I couldn’t sleep because my mind was racing! I’m allowed to
write you tonight but after that only on Pdays which is Wednesdays.
I’m loving my teachers. They are amazing! We are teaching our first investigators, well
not really. It’s just our teacher acting to be a guy named Billy. But still
awesome. Day 3, here I come!
Our first day was exactly as I expected until that night. They had 3 “investigators” and
the missionaries came in and tried to start a lesson. We had to learn all about
the people and disreguard what the elders did. I learned so much! We had 2
actors and 1 guy who was for real. He is a devout Catholic and it was amazing
just to learn what he believed and why. It was almost like having the JW”S
sitting in a group of 50 asking Dad why he is a member and sometimes trying to
get dad to believe them more than he believed in the things he is rooted in.
Crazy! (But Dad has the truth and knows it fully. This guy didn’t)
Well, I wrote yesterday and I am just struggling to find time to write. They keep us
busy all the way up until we are supposed to be in bed! I hardly get time to
take a shower. So my district will have to deal with my stench tomorrow because
I’m writing instead of taking a shower. Hahaha!
So today was really hard! The adversary does all he can to keep you from learning. I
learned that today. I was learning with almost a physical wall in front of me
it seemed. Or like I was wading through sludge! But I made it through! We
taught our ‘Billy’ today. He was interesting. It was hard! My companion and I
did not work on the same page at all! Her name if Sister Worthington. She is a
sweet dear older sister. She is turning 25 next week. She is pretty quiet and a
very good listener. She is always telling me she is impressed by me. She has
some really beautiful insights but sometimes she does think she is quite the
wise owl. She is still working on that, but aren’t we all !
My district is wonderful. My district leader – this TALL little redheaded 19 year old of a
guy makes me think of Ben and Mike mixed together in a Red Hood. Elder Herzog
and Elder Beverly his companion have me rolling on the floor at least 5xs a
day. The other Elders are pretty quiet. Elder McMichael and Elder Castro. Well
the sisters are wonderful! THE best! We sing all day long and crack ourselves
up over making new words to ‘sisters’ on White Christmas. Sister Webb is from Lymon, Wyoming and actually grew up with Shai! She was so excited to hear a little about Mike.
Sister Palmer is from Preston Idaho and know Eric F. the guy who is marrying my
roommate Bailey. Crazy small world here!
Sister Palmer and Webb both saw Elder Archuletta today. I was looking the other way
though and completely missed him! Ha. Tell Kris I will try again to keep my
eyes open.
Well – it’s way after bedtime so I love you all and will write soon! I also got my shoes
today BTW and I will have to try them out tomorrow. Also today it SNOWED!! A Lot!! Beautiful!!
Well I love you! Oh
! MAAN! (as Olivia would say!) Love Sister
______________
p.s. Happy Easter. It’s now Sunday. This morning President
Boyd K. Packer spoke in a special sacrament meeting for the whole MTC! It was
wonderful! I also say Elder Archuletta. He is so little! Just like Nicole! Cute
little guy!
We also had a special devotional and the BYU men’s choir came and it was beautiful! AHHH! So cleansing! We aren’t allowed to listen to music here in our rooms so we just
have to wait until we sing hymns in class. EH! I miss it! On Sundays
they also close the day by allowing everyone to watch church videos. I got to
watch a devotional that Elder Bednar gave that Christmas on turning outward to
take the character of Christ upon us. WOW! My jaw was on the floor the whole
hour. What a beautiful inspiration we can receive through not only apostles but
paired with deep feeling of the Holy Ghost as well!
We also taught Billy yesterday. I have been having a hard time having a companion
strapped to my side no more than an arms length away all the time. It’s been
uncomfortable but I’m learning. I love her so much and she tries so hard to
follow the Holy Ghost and share all she knows. Even in the hallway on the way
back from brushing her teeth. I can hear her just outside the door and I think
she is so cute. Even if no one wants to listen.
Anyway. We prayed so hard that we would be able to teach the things we are learning. We
went in to see Bill and it went so well. They teach us to extend baptism the
first and every time you meet with an investigator. By the end we had followed
the Holy Ghost so closely that at the end we extended baptism and he was really
excited about the idea. We meet with him again on Tuesday and I will let you
know how it goes. My teacher came out and talked to us and the other sisters
and said they were the best first lessons Bill has ever received and he has
been working here for over 3 years so that’s a really big deal! How humbling to
know the Lord will help us in every step, even just in practice. Wow! Beautiful!
I’m so very thankful for all I am learning. I feel like such a different person already!
Can you believe it? I can’ t imagine where I will be in 3 weeks!
Well, I love you all and will write soon! I hope all is well! I keep running into
people from Lyman! I met another guy that knows Shai! Elder Glacher or
something like that. Small World!
I want you to know how much I love you and appreciate you all! The Lord loves you and
wants you to always turn to him.
OH!
My Zone Leader and his district are all going to Mike’s mission! Crazy! They leave Tuesday morning for the field. I’m going to miss those guys! Got us hooked on 4 square in the gym!
They are so awesome! I don’t see them as little 19 year olds but Men with Power!
AWESOME!
BYE FOR NOW!
Love

...the good ole' burg!
So you have all be wondering what I have been doing up here. Well, here is the scoop. Besides the 7 hours I spend in the library every day... we like to party, we like we like to party! So the first order of business when I go up to school was my birthday. The first day of school. So that Friday we had a mustache party in the honor of Nacho... if you would all kindly have a flash back to Halloween and remember the last time I wore a stache. So we had quite the turn out and a heck of a good game night!
Here is a little taste of how awesome my classes have been this semester... This is in my Light and Sounds class. My teacher, Brother Neilson, is in between those two boards covered in nails. My friend Melissa is sitting on top and that guy in the back... his name is Josh. My teacher does a demonstration every day and this particular day we were learning about surface area.
THANK HEAVENS! This would have turned out to be quite the dare... get married! GO!
Well, actually, I did propose to my dearest TB on valentines day. I hope you all know the story about how I have to marry a guy with the initials TB because Kristin and Lethe both did. So my best friend Tyler and I were talking one night and that came out, and he looked at me weird, and he said, "Well, those are my initials." We sat there staring... so on valentines day i asked him if he would be my TB... this is how it went...
Tyler Beesley... would you be my TB... ha ha ha... THE RING!
So... speaking of Tyler, one night he left his backpack at our house and so we decided to decorate. We took out all of his pens and electronic devices and such and tied pink ribbons on them and then filled his backpack and books with conversation hearts with his name included on each one. We even turned his scriptures to D&C 132 and put a special heart there that said marry me Tyler. After we went through all this, we then hacked into his laptop and put a picture of us on his background. I then wrote him a love note which we slide into his lap top. The next morning he came by early and picked it up. He got a kick out of it when he got into class and started pulling out his things. He nailed me on the letter... no one else could have written that master piece! This is the picture that is still on his background...

So one night my roommate Sarah and I noticed it was snowing, so we ran out side and went over to see our brothers, but on the way we got distracted and took millions of pictures!

Until next time!
